1.       You love the guitar. You love it from head to toe, from the bridge to the nut, down to every single tuning peg and rusty string and you want to sayang (Malay for caress) a guitar every single Saturday. As long as you love the guitar, we’ll love you.

2.       You want to be able to play the guitar. We will teach you how to play the guitar, and how to play it really well. We have a world class-conductor, two extremely proficient tutors and an entire army of alumni (affectionately known as the Dinosaurs!) whose guitar skills leave us speechless in utter respect. So what are you waiting for?

3.       You want to make music. Here at GENUS, you have the entire ensemble to do it with you. Sit back, let your fingers run, and enjoy the music J

4.       We know some of you are HUGE Guitar Hero fans. Well, GENUS isn’t exactly the place that allows you to unleash your inner rock star because ours is a mainly classical repertoire, but trust me, the skills you’ll pick up in GENUS will definitely put you on top of the score charts and leave your gaming comrades in awe ;)

5.       You want to see what our beautiful President can do to make GENUS a better place for you and for me.

6.       You want to see what the two fun-loving and super adorable Publicity Secretaries of GENUS (yes I’m talking about my partner and myself J) can put into the newsletters. Our first newsletter is coming up in September, so stay tuned!

7.       You want more friends. Crazy, whacky, out-of-the-world friends. Seriously, if you think we only know how to play the guitar and sayang our guitars…think again! Because in GENUS there’s never a dull moment and we also know how to sayang our friends and all newbies too J
